The SNG Commcentre centre is a universal, dual channel GSM/cell-phone interface, specially designed for SNG and ENG trucks where reliable communications are a must.

With this communication centre you can provide communication between the reporter (on-camera 'talent'), cameraman, SNG operator (engineer) and the crew in the studio. The IFB coming from a GSM phone is independently via volume controls distributed to the reporter's earpiece. The reporter can talk back to the SNG engineer via his 'stand-up' microphone. The engineer can provide the cameraman with IFB sound from the GSM cell phone and an extra communication circuit coming from the second phone. The cameraman is able to talk back via his headset to the second line for direct communication with the director in the studio.

The engineer has full-duplex communication with both GSM lines. The engineer can talk independently or simultaneously to the reporter and camera operator. The engineer can easily send the off-air signal to all earpieces, in the event of IFB line loss. When the GSM phone is connected and operating, the talk button is illuminated green. If the line fails, the talk button flashes for three seconds and turns red. A ringing line is indicated by the talk button flashing.

With its powerful earpiece drivers and built-in compressor/limiters, the SNG Commcentre provides crystal clear IFB sound to the talent, camera operator and engineer. With its second cell-phone channel, it provides direct communication between the camera operator and the control room. Full-duplex communication is possible at any time.

When the SNG Communication centre is switched off, bypass relays re-connect the original hands-free microphone and -speaker to your car kit so you can use your phone normally. The SNG Communication centre fits in every SNG or ENG truck. It is easily connected to any GSM cell phone car kit, with radio mute output. To simplify installation, all input and output levels can be adjusted with trimmers. The SNG Communication centre is equipped with balanced XLR mic/line level inputs and outputs for connection to other equipment; e.g. the Camplex system.
